Some of our BEST and most CREATIVE fundraisers are young people who have decided, “……you know what? I’m going to make a difference!”
And the ideas our teenage supporters come up with – well, they are just amazing! It’s people like YOU who are getting involved right now to help us get Kawasaki Disease known and stop it being a lifelong problem for more young people.
So – what sort of stuff can you do? That’s easy — pretty much anything! We have fundraisers who raise money by being sponsored to run, bike, game (oh yeah!), swim and hold ‘Non-Uniform’ days at their schools, or ‘Wear Red’ days at school or work. They’ve held and join in online quizzes, taken part in cake-bake-offs, put forward our charity as one that their whole school fundraises for throughout a term or year…. and tonnes, tonnes more.
Got your own ideas? BRILLIANT! Get in touch and we’ll help you get going if you like! Or….. just crack on! We’re here if you need us.
Need some inspiration? NO PROBLEM! Here’s some articles on amazing young people who have organised fundraising and awareness events for Societi. Have a look through to see what they’ve been doing. They inspire us 🙂 and we think they’ll inspire you too!
If you’d like to be a fundraising hero for Societi, speaking to your family or school about what you might do is a great place to start. Or you can get in touch with us and we’ll help wherever we can!
Ethan's 24 Hour Gaming Fundraiser
As Fundraising activities go, we thought we had pretty much seen them all! But oh no, 15-year-old Ethan caught us out after taking part in a 24 hour live streaming event on his Xbox – to raise money for Kawasaki Disease awareness!
Ethan planned to start playing his Xbox on a Saturday morning at 10am and he didn’t stop until 10am on Sunday morning. AMAZING!
Luckily for Ethan his wonderful mum and fabulous Societi supporter Debbie, kept him hydrated and fed during the event.
Every pound raised helps us to protect tiny hearts from Kawasaki Disease – and with an impressive total of £209 that’s £1 raised every 4 minutes by Ethan!! A staggering achievement from one of our youngest fundraisers!
Ethan – we think you’re INCREDIBLE! Thank you for gaming so hard… for so long!!
Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in UK children and TOGETHER, with support like Ethan’s we will change that! This is a fabulous idea for a fundraiser, and we are just so grateful to our wonderful supporters, who come up with such great ideas. Ethan – we are inspired!
